The sun came out in the later afternoon and its rays dappled the leaves and the carpet of bluebells. There was a faint sweet smell in the air from the bluebells and everything looked fresh and pert after the rain earlier in the day.

Technical detail
Both photographs were shot handheld with Nikon D700 and Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens. The upper photo was shot at f6.3, 1/80 second and ISO 200. The lower photo was shot at f6.3, 1/40 second and ISO 200. I can see the camera shake in the second photo when viewed at 100%.
