Do You Want To Guest Post About Photography?
Do you want to contribute and write an article giving practical information about photography, image editors and image editing, graphic design, or typography?
It’s a simple and painless process and you could have a post up on this site in a day or two. Note that all contributions will be in draft mode and not seen unless and until I set them to ‘publish’.
So if you are intent on sending me draft articles about weight loss or cheap cellphone deals, forget it.
Do You Fit This Profile?
- Can you write an article giving practical information about photography, image editors and image editing, graphic design, or typography?
- The article doesn’t have to be highly technical but it does have to contain solid information.
- Do you want to share your ideas, tips, and useful information with like-minded people on the web?
- Can you write an article that’s from 250 to 2,000 words on your chosen subject and keep it real and interesting for your audience?
- And do you want to promote yourself, or your products, or your profile in social media?
If the answer to any or all of these is Yes, that’s me!, then why not try your hand at guest posting on this site?

I have put the welcome mat out to anyone who can write in an engaging way in plain English on photography.
If in doubt about whether your article ‘fits’, shoot me an enquiry and ask!
Now For The Guidelines
The article must be one you have written. It must not be copied wholesale from someone else’s work.
It must be new and that means it must not have been published anywhere else, either on the web or in print. And it must not be published anywhere else in the future.
It must be high quality and I reserve the right to reject any article that is irrelevant or poor quality or plagiarised.
And it must be about photography, image editors and image editing, graphic design, or typography. If it is not about these subjects, I will bin it. Don’t waste your own time and mine writing about water heaters (yes, someone did that). All that is going to happen is that I will trash the draft.
I also reserve the right to make small editing changes. I am a stickler for grammar, but I wouldn’t reject an article just because it has a few typos.
You can include a link back to your own site or your social media profile and you can do this in the article itself where relevant, and you can put a link in your byline with a sentence or two about yourself.
Once your article goes live, I expect you to reply usefully to promptly to any comments that people make. I also expect you to promote the article via Twitter, Facebook, or whatever other social media channels you use.
It is in your interest to promote the article. It is common courtesy to reply to comments.
If you are OK with all of this, and you have written your article and you are ready to submit it, then click this link below to register for an account. Once registered you can log-in and submit a post and I will review it.
Important
Notify me via the Contact page when you have uploaded your draft article! If you don’t email me, I won’t know you have done it and the only way I will know you have written a draft is when I next take a look at the posts in the back end – and that could be while.
So, notify me when you have put your draft on the site!
Subscribe To Keep Up To Date
I suggest you subscribe to the newsletters by filling in your email address in the form here on the right hand side at the top.
That way you will get to hear whenever a new article is published, so you can add your voice – and other people can add their voices when your articles are published.
Yes, that’s right – if you like writing for Photographworks – keep adding articles!

Here’s the topic that I want to write about: Microphotography: Ten Interesting Subjects to Capture
If you need any social media help for your site or anything I can do to promote your site, feel free to inform me. I’d be more than willing to help.
Cheers,
