We went to see him talk about his book ‘Shylock Is My Name’ and I took his photo at the book signing afterwards. I asked whether I could take his photo and he was gracious about it.

I shot this with my Fuji X100s under mixed lighting and the EXIF data tells me I shot it at 1/58 second at f2 and ISO 800.
Knowing how some people in religious communities are reluctant to be photographed, I was surprised how this man responded so graciously. It was not that I expected him to be rude, but he was obliging without playing to the camera.
Now that’s interesting how she is looking. Not at all like a comedienne. Go, Abogaliah, go!
This young man was standing on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh today. He was holding one end of a banner for Dolce Vita, a sketch show put on by Bristol Revunions. I thought he looked how someone from an American rock band in the 70s might look.
I wish I could tell you her name – and someone did mention it on a Google+ thread but I can’t find it. I remember that her stage name was ‘Bendy ….’ and that was because she passed unstrung tennis rackets down the length of her body.
